Amarillo is a relatively high-alpha hop that's mainly used for aroma contributions both in dry-hopping and late kettle hopping. It's a hop that was developed by the Virgil Gamache Farms in the state of Washington.

Amarillo hops feature a really interesting oil content, which includes a very high myrcene count. Myrcene is a highly volatile oil that usually gets volatilized in the boil, but if used during dry hopping, it can bring you a really strong intense citrus character and a bit of grapefruit to it.
