❓️ How do we calculate shipping costs?

Packages are shipped through the best available method, depending on the product and destination. Shipping costs will be calculated accordingly and added to your shopping cart. To get your shipping cost calculated, simply add products to the shopping cart and enter your postal code. Freight Carrier may be required for large or heavy items. Freight Carrier delivery does not include carrying the package into the building or unpacking. Lift-gate service is available for an additional charge which is automatically included in your shipping quote.

Products are usually shipped within 24 hours of order placement (on business days) from our warehouses in Canada and the US.

Why Cleaning Beer Lines Is So Important

For every bar owner, cleaning tap lines, keg couplers, beer faucets and shanks is imperative. Not only does it help to preserve the natural, fresh taste of beer, but it also allows you to address the health concerns of your patrons and ensure their safety through keeping your beer lines free of any bacteria, yeast or mold that might have built up there.

The cleaning process does not take a lot of time or effort and, therefore, should be done on a regular basis. Most specialists would agree that beer lines and other dispensing equipment should be cleaned every keg. This will ensure the best possible beer quality and freshness.

Without regular cleaning, yeast can build up and form particles that will soon start floating down those beer lines and eventually end up getting in the beer that’s being dispensed. That’s no way to treat yourself or your customers.

Cleaning a Kegerator Beer Line

When you hear the words “beer cleaning kit” and “kegerator” in one sentence, they may sound a bit frightening and somewhat technical. Let’s examine one of our hand pump cleaning kits that works great with kegerators and is ideal for home use. No professional beer line cleaning equipment is required - all it takes is just a few basic things. Here are the elements that you are going to need:

1 Quart plastic cleaning bottle with a hand pump
Faucet wrench
16 oz. Super No-Rinse cleaning solution
Faucet brush

Yep, that’s all it takes - now, let’s see what the actual cleaning process consists of. Here are the steps you need to go through:

Make sure the CO2 tank is disconnected and turned off completely
Unscrew the faucet using the faucet spanner wrench and then unscrew the keg coupler from the beer line
Take a medium-sized bowl and pour some warm water into it
Add a tablespoon worth of cleaning solution into the water and then pour approximately the same amount into the cleaning bottle with a hand pump
Take the faucet brush and give a good, nice scrub to the inside part of the faucet paying extra attention to the space between the grooves
Connect the cleaning bottle with a pump to the faucet using a washer and a coupling nut by tightening the nut with your faucet wrench
Place the beer into a bucket and then proceed by pumping the solution into the line
Disconnect the cleaning bottle and fill it back up with clean water
As described in step 8, pump the water (this time it’s clean, without any solution) into the line
Repeat step 10 one more time to ensure that the remains of the cleaning solution that might still be in the system have been rinsed out
After rinsing, disconnect the cleaning bottle and replace the faucet assembly by slightly tightening the coupling nut with your faucet wrench
Put the washer back into the beer line and attach it to the keg coupler, and then attach the keg coupler itself to the keg
Open the CO2 tank valve and turn the regulator back on
That’s it - you’re ready for another round of fresh, ice-cold beer!

As you can see cleaning kegerator beer is super-easy. The whole procedure should take you no more than 15 minutes. Remember to do this after every keg to keep your beer fresh at all times.

Cleaning Beer Tap Lines

Although this is a slightly more complicated process than kegerator beer line cleaning, you still don’t have to be a draft beer cleaning tech to perform it.
There are a few ways of cleaning out beer tap lines and dispensing equipment:

General cleaning
Service cleaning

Arguably, the best way to clean beer tap lines is by doing a complete teardown of the system and soaking every part in PBW. Since it’s a rather time-consuming process, doing it at least once a year should suffice provided you do service cleaning on a regular basis in between.

For service cleaning, which should be done more frequently than general cleaning, you can choose between these two beer line cleaning methods:

The manual cleaning method involving a hand pump we’ve described above
The automated cleaning method using a keg washer

Here’s what the automated draught beer line cleaning process looks like - follow these beer line cleaning instructions and you will never run into any trouble:

Empty all your beer lines of all the beer that might still be in there
Connect the beer line(s) to the pump (if you have two or more lines, connect them in a daisy chain)
Run the pump and let the lines be washed for 15-30 minutes
Turn the pump off and rinse out the system by pumping clean water

And that’s all you have to do! Beer system parts should be perfectly clean by the time you have finished the rinsing process.

We recommend doing general cleaning at least once a year while service cleaning should be done once every 3 months, ideally. Of course, these are rough, average numbers - the actual frequency of cleaning should depend on how much beer runs through your system per day/week/month.
