❓️ How do we calculate shipping costs?

Packages are shipped through the best available method, depending on the product and destination. Shipping costs will be calculated accordingly and added to your shopping cart. To get your shipping cost calculated, simply add products to the shopping cart and enter your postal code. Freight Carrier may be required for large or heavy items. Freight Carrier delivery does not include carrying the package into the building or unpacking. Lift-gate service is available for an additional charge which is automatically included in your shipping quote.

Products are usually shipped within 24 hours of order placement (on business days) from our warehouses in Canada and the US.

✅️ How do I get the status of my order?

After payment has been made for your purchase, you will receive an email within 24 business hours from our Sales staff with a tracking number. Majority of our carriers have online tracking available.

Types of Gas Pressure Regulators

There are a few types of gas regulators available on the market and knowing the difference might help you to make the right choice.

Primary Gas regulator

The basic primary CO2 regulator helps control the pressure coming out of the tank so that one 5-lb CO2 tank can be used to dispense up to 8 half-kegs. These regulators come in two different varieties:

Single-gauge regulator (measures only the dispensing pressure)
Double-gauge regulator (measures the dispensing pressure and the amount of gas if left in the tank)

If you are dispensing Guinness or other nitrogen-based beers, you need a nitrogen regulator, which works essentially the same as its CO2 counterpart with one little difference: it features a female stem to attach to a nitrogen tank.

Alternatively, you can get a nitrogen converter piece (like this CO2 regulator to nitrogen tank adapter available from us) and use a standard CO2 gas regulator.

Secondary Gas Regulator

With this type of regulators, you will be able to dispense multiple kegs at different pressures. They come equipped with 2 to 5 dials to monitor and regulate the beer regulator pressure separately for each keg.

If you want to dispense multiple kegs all at the same pressure, you will need a distribution bar (like this 4-Way Air Distributor also available from BeverageCraft), which is basically a large splitter.

CO2 Tank Regulator Parts

Not being a highly sophisticated piece of equipment, a gas regulator, nevertheless, consists of a few distinct parts you should be aware of in order to use it properly.

Here are the main parts of a gas regulator:

Stem (aka tank connection) - this is a part that attaches directly to the CO2 tank and is susceptible to leaks. In order to ensure a leak-free connection, make sure to tighten it up with a CO2 tank wrench
Low-pressure gauge - measures the amount of gas going into the keg
High-pressure gauge - measures the amount of gas left in the tank
Shut-off valve - allows you to turn the gas on and off by turning it perpendicular to the air line
Adjustment screw - sets the pressure output to the keg. Turning it clockwise will increase the pressure, counterclockwise - decrease the pressure, and that’s how to adjust CO2 regulator beer. As you can see, nothing really difficult

As for the optimal pressure, most beers need to be dispensed at 10-15 PSI (for systems using CO2) or 30-40 PSI (for systems using nitrogen).
