This 1/4" brass fitting has a straight hose barb inlet with a built-in check valve, a common spot to add one on a beverage pump's inlet line. The check valve only lets flow through in one direction, so it keeps air or liquid from siphoning back into the line when the pump shuts off.
It's built from brass with a 1/4" barb on both ends, so it works with standard beverage-grade hose.
