The John Guest Straight Stem-Barb 1/2” × 3/8” fitting changes a John Guest push-fit connection into a barbed hose connection, thus enabling the fastest and most secure integration with hoses. By means of JG Push-Fit technology, it produces a leak-tight seal in a flash, without the need for tools, hot works, or sealing agents.
Made of polypropylene with EPDM O-rings, this fitting is very resistant to chemicals and can be used for potable water, intermittent hot water (up to 65°C), and water treatment or purification applications. The corrosion-resistant, removable design not only increases system performance but also decreases the time that the system is off. Besides that, it may be used with LLDPE and soft metal tubing, thus offering better flow characteristics and preventing the formation of scaling.
